Deep valleys flanked by rounded granite peaks, hill after hill of dark green forests in juxtaposition with open countryside dotted with half-timbered farmhouses - cuckoo clocks, thermal spas, Black Forest cake, cheese and a plethora of fresh brews - THIS is the Southern Black Forest!

We begin our trek in the bustling university town of Freiburg with its grand cathedral and lively cobbled streets filled with traditional German culture and foods. From here we hike to Frieburg’s home mountain - Schauinsland - settling into a quiet spa before continuing our trek eastwards traversing the Black Forest’s highest peak of the Feldberg to the recreational paradise town of Hinterzarten. We continue on to the small resort town of Schluchsee before ending our hike of the southern Black Forest in Konstanz on the beautiful Bodensee.

This trip will take on the gesture of this areas’ slower paced villages as we linger in morning meditations, meander hillside and forest trails during the days, and pause for yoga and spa activities in the late afternoons.
